Literary Elements
The way the poem talks about the trees being dressed in leaves as if it were wearing clothes like a human is personification. When it says "A house, a ligneous construction, Put together as a cemetery of trees", the poem is using a simile to compare the two. Imagery is used throughout the entire poem with the picture of the animals and the trees and forests formed in the readers mind.
